Solar, Wind & Water Energy
Put Hawaii on the path to sustainability. We are blessed with an environment that is abundant with natural energy. It is free, it is a gift, lets take advantage of it.
We enjoy a constant supply of sun, wind and rain. Utilising those natural resources is the responsible thing to do. It has become cost effective and lessens the demand for non renewable energy sources. The State of Hawaii encourages the use of alternative energy and provides significant tax incentives.
SOLAR ENERGY Catching the Sun's energy is easy and translates into big savings on your monthly electrical bills. You can heat your hot water tank and your pool practically for free by just installing a few solar hot water panels. Solar panels can also be used to power water pumps for water features or for Agricultural purposes such as well pumps, aquaponics or aquaculture.
You can become practically energy independent .
This requires the installation of a series of solar panels with or without battery storage. Solar energy can be converted into power that is fed directly into the Power Co grid. As a result the meter starts to rotate backwards creating surplus power that becomes available after the sun sets. If a cloudy period prohibits solar power production you continue to consume the energy that was created by the solar system until you run out of surplus. Then you start consuming energy from the Electric Co. When the sun returns, solar power starts generating again. This is the most practical and cost productive way to co-exist with the Power Co.
WIND POWER Wind is another reliable energy resource Hawaii that is free and can easily be tapped into. A small wind tower can significantly lower the cost of power consumption especially on Agricultural properties.
WATER CATCHMENT Rainwater can be collected from roofs and stored in any size above or below ground containment tanks ready to be used for water consumption or for irrigation purposes.

Introducing a new generation Residential Power Appliance that hooks up to your home to help
you reduce or eliminate your monthly electricity costs. It's the first compact, user-friendly,
all-inclusive wind generator (with controls and inverter built in) designed to provide quiet, clean
electricity in very low winds. Homeowners and small business owners now have the power to
choose their electricity source with wind power.
How it works is simple. With no batteries, the system connects directly to your home. When the
wind is blowing, your home is powered (in part) by the system, when it's not, your home is
seamlessly powered by your utility as usual. During periods of strong winds, the system can
actually produce excess electricity. Depending on your utility, your meter will spin
backwards--giving you credit for a later date.
Features and General Information;
Connects directly to your home power system
Many different types of towers available for mounting
Maximum Survival Wind Speed of 140 mph
If your site fits the following criteria, chances are it will work for you:
At least 10 MPH average wind speed (best results at 12 mph or more)
Your property is at least .5 acres and has unobstructed views
The local zoning allows a structure that is at least 42' tall
Your local utility has an existing interconnection agreement for homeowners
With a rated capacity of 1.8 kw, the system can provide anywhere from 40 to 100 percent of the total energy needs of a
household or small business. Its, sleek, distinctive 12-foot diameter swept-wing blades and elegant form make it an
attractive addition to any home. With a guyless tower, it blends in like a neighborhood street lamp. And because it operates
at a low rpm, this system is as quiet as the trees blowing in the wind.
The system can be used in off-grid battery charging applications that include a bi-directional inverter such as a Xantrex SW
or SW Plus or OutBack FX or VFX inverter. This is connected to a breaker in the load center powered by the inverter. For
this type of installation, the wireless remote battery sensor must be installed to stop the generating when the batteries are
fully charged.
An optional two-way remote display unit lets you control your system when from up to 1000feet (300 meters) away. You can
also monitor performance and download energy performance data to your personal computer via USB converter.
